在Lander的第一周

      来到Lander已经4天了,觉得过了特别慢,但是也很充实,热情地Park夫妇、幽默的Jeff、可爱的Boyoung，他们都是我在这里生活最亲近的人。或许是年龄相仿，又或许都是来自亚洲，我和Boyoung特别投缘，她一个女孩子从印第安纳州开车10小时来到Greenwood，为的是来帮助给她美国求学生活很多帮助的Park，这份感情很难得。
     Park先生已经74岁了，但他一点也看不出。他每天坚持慢跑40分钟，身体很棒！40岁的Jeff看到来自韩国的4个90后的学生，感叹自己也老了。他们都好可爱！昨天参加了学校即将开展的“日本文化交流周”的预备会，偶遇了数学专业的一个女教授，她带着女儿和两个儿子来试穿和服，准备演出。她告诉我女儿是他在菲律宾领养的，其实像她这样的人在这个小镇并不少，让我感到有点吃惊，但同时也多了几分敬意！他们的孩子生活得很融洽。      
        今天Boyoung带我见了我下周即将开始工作的学生事务中心的分管校长,一个很高大的老头，很善良，他告诉我他们的学生事务管理工作种类很多，明天就邀请我参加他们的新学期的“Freshman Moving",我很期待！
       下午参加了学校每学期一次的新学期交流会（类似中国的茶话会），很惊讶，这里的每个人都知道我是来自中国的访问学者，原来在Lander，邮件是最主要的了解信息和交流的方式，我要上中文科的信息他们也都知道了，感觉既紧张又兴奋！
     有的时候很羡慕Boyou能够，因为在这里有她祖国的人，Parke夫妇和4个交流生，而除了我一个中国人都没有，但是我希望通过自己的努力可以使这里可爱的人多了解中国，也希望能有更多的人来这里！

第一次一个人走那么远

     8月23日中午，从家出发到机场，一路心情平静，爸妈也一如往常，我们一家三口似乎感觉像是准备度假。或许，谁都不愿涉及即将分开一段时间的话题。到了机场，很顺利的完成了行李托运和机票的换取，进入安检等待起飞！
     飞越了13个小时，终于到达了芝加哥奥黑尔机场，第一次乘坐机场的小火车到达我要转机的terminal,托完行李，再一次安检，稳稳地等候下一班前往Greenwill的飞机。又经过了一个多小时的飞行终于到达了目的地。Park教授（Lander大学国际交流项目的负责人）安排了Jeff(一个地道的Greenwood的美国人，刚从学生事务管理中心转到国际交流中心工作）来接我，Jeff很热情，辛苦的开了1个半小时送我到住的公寓，也见到了一直负责联系我的韩国女孩Boyoun（韩国人，和Park一样）。这时已经是美国当地时间8月24日凌晨1点了。
     休息了近7个小时后，很荣幸参加了LanderUniversity的新学期全体faculty会议，会议很准时，氛围很亲切，每一个从我身边的人都热情地和我打招呼，并且我也很幸运地在这个会上作为新成员被介绍了一下，Jeff告诉我：“You're special,you are the first visting scholar in Lander:"高兴之余倍感压力。
     中午和Park，Jeff，Boyoun以及4个国际交流的韩国学生一起共进了午餐，过后Jeff和Boyoun带领我们熟悉校园和工作伙伴！每到之处都受到热情欢迎，或许老外真的个个都是这样的nice.，真的感觉很亲切！不管是他们校园的警署还是学生身心健康中心，不管是学术中心还是学生事务管理中心，不管是图书馆还是计算中心，每个人都会主动地、滔滔不绝地介绍他们的工作和伙伴，可能考虑我们都是亚洲人，他们还放慢了点语速。言语中还不乏幽默之处。
     整个熟悉用了近2个半小时，在美国的生活才刚开始，初始印象都不错，加油了！艰巨的任务还在不断等着我！

Initial impression of Lander

    This is the first time to America,of course to Lander.Everyone here is so nice , helpful and the campus is quite beautiful.I'm becoming loving it.

     This is also my first time to leave my parents ,my university for such a long time,but I think it will cernainly be a unfortable experience for my life.

    Mr President Ball,thank you for give me such a nice opportunity to visit Lander.         

    Mr Bouknight,I'm looking foreward to working with you and learn from you ,thank you.

                  Dr.Park,a nice professor from Korea,thanks fo arranging everything considerable for me from May,2011.

                  Mrs Park ,a very elegant woman.You cooked so delicious meal for me .It wams my heart a lot .

    Boyoun,a pretty girl also from Kora,thanks for you accompany and give me sunch nice help.

 Jeff,a humorous man ,you're the first man  I see  of  Lander.Thank you so much for picking me up.

          I'd like to tell you that as the first visting scholar from shanghai ,I will try my best to do more to improve the friendship and more communication between Lander and Shanghai Normal University.

               My life in Lander is now going on !

Under the help of my leaders,my fellow colleagues and my dear students,I have had a great time in Shanghai Normal University,taking charge of the student’s affair,especiall for Students' Union and Volunteer Group.

I feel it a great honor to have a furth study in Lander university.I am among the most lucky ones in our University to be given such a precious opportunity to learn under Western culture and U.S. higher education administration System. I firmly believe that the experince in Lander will certainly broaden my horizon,innovate my thinking ways ,and enrich my life.Hoping that I can make great progress and have a colorful life there .
